Hi folks,

Question 1: There's no crossfade facility in AudioCodex? I can't find one.

Question 2: At the moment AC only plays one track at a time even with all the boxes ticked. This is actually good for my backing track work, but no good for playlists I use between live playing to keep the punters happy. How do I turn off this single play thing?

Question 3: (Might be related to the above) What is CA Mode? Why do I need it and how I do I change it?

Question 4: This website looks terrible on my PC, but all right on my Mac. What am I missing? Java or something?

Cheers, Graeme.
Hi Graeme,

Some quick answers to your questions:

1. No, not at this time. We do have plans to add this some time around version 2.0.

2. That is strange, it should play every checked track in a playlist in order, one after the other. Please provide some more details, like model, OS version, etc.

3. CA is Core Audio. AudioCodex decides to play a track in Core Audio if it can depending on the format of the file on disk. If the file is protected, or not recognised by Core Audio, it will play it in QuickTime instead. See: http://www.machinecodex.com/support/?q=s...ed_formats

4. We had not tested the site in Explorer, as Windows users are not really our target market. I have checked this today, and you are right, it does look pretty bad in Explorer. I have also tested in Firefox, which looks fine. When we have some spare time, we will try to figure out what is going wrong in explorer, but this is a low priority.
Hi,

Re Question 2, it could be that you have turned on Loop mode... in Loop mode AC should 'never' auto-advance to the next track; Loop mode is toggled on / off using the rightmost of the transport buttons.

Thanks Mark, "Loop" mode- that might have snuck past me. If not, I'll get back to you. I'll check. The fact the dodgy-looking website is your fault Smile not mine is all I need to know. I have Firefox installed anyway.
BTW crossfades are useful for someone like me, trying to keep up a certain momentum during a gig. It'd be a good feature, if possible.

Cheers, Graeme.
