"software that goes up to eleven?" I can't see many musicians using this till it has something really useful to offer.
Check out Audio Finder and Rapid Evolution for the OSX benchmarks.
Killer presentation guys, but that's about it so far.
Though for any vidvox VJ's, that Quartz Composition Viewer is slick

Hi ilo,
Thanks for taking the time to post. Glad you like at least one aspect of AudioCodex.
BPM detection and key detection are certainly features we intend to add in a future release. All I can say at the moment is that these will most likely be in a Leopard-only version, perhaps 1.1.
We'd love to add support for Ableton in a future release also.
AudioCodex takes a rather different approach to the apps you mention, we are targeting the entry level musicians and djs, rather than the pros, with our current version. Our features, interface and pricing reflect that. Our aim is to make it easy for you to explore the potential of AUs without a lot of overhead or prior knowledge.
Mark, I'm sure, will have some more things to add, but please realise these are fairly heavy requests, in terms of the amount of work required to implement them. But it's early days for our humble little player, and we have every intention of adding these features as it becomes feasible.
Kind regards,
Well myself I own Audio Finder and Mixed In Key so look forward to 'distinguishing' features (such as I have mentioned elsewhere) for Audio Codex. I am always interested in variations on 'playlist' app's and Audio Codex is already on a path which provides interesting 'alternatives...so I encourage you to continue the 'following of your own path' in this respect ;-)
