When I first display the audio inspector, the slide controls do not display. This is also true for the slider for pitch and speed and equalizer. If I click on the tabs they will eventually show up.

Apologies for the slow reply, this sounds like a Prefs corruption bug, try deleting the AudioCodex preferences file as outlined in this post. If the problem still persists it would be helpful to know your current OS version & Mac type.
