Full Version: A new loop misbehaviour
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
Hi all -

1. Take a plain CA mode wav or aif file, with loop markers set at default beginning and end. Cue from Out option unchecked.

2. Press Play, and while playing enable track repeat.

3. Drag the In marker agressively past the playhead to a few seconds before the Out marker at the end and leave it there.

Results:

1. Playback will continue to eof and then begin looping between the markers but with no sound. Track retains these behaviours subsequently.

2. A small adjustment of the Out marker restores normal behaviour.

3. Verified several times including after trashing prefs file.

Thanks Neville,

We have reproduced this bug, and we think we have tracked down the cause. We will aim to have it ironed out (finally) by v1.0.

Thanks again,
Hi Neville, we have updated AudioCodex to 0.99b and we believe we have fixed this bug. Have a look and let us know if you still have problems.
Homing in, chaps .....

Try this:

1. Take a wav/CA file with loop markers set, and default cue from out point option off.

2. Enable loop track-mode and play.

3. While playing, select a point somewhere near the out marker, and click there.

Result:

Tracks plays from clicked point to the out marker, and then loops for a time between the click-point and end marker. Then it returns to the In marker and continues to repeat between the markers as expected.

The time it takes to return to this state appears to be exactly the time to complete the track as if the click towards the end hadn't happened.

Also noticed that old-time display bug again in which a drastic alteration in tempo causes the looped track display to go out of sync.

Back to youse......
