Have you considered making your application Volume Logic, IWow or IHear friendly? I'm not a musician and am simply using Audio Codec for its sound quality.
I haven't personally used these items, but as you have mentioned them, I will investigate further and post again with some more information soon.

Just did a little checking into the above... some observations, comments & requests for more information follow.
Re iWow, this is an iTunes-only plugin, it doesn't work with any apps other than iTunes AFAIK. If SRS were to create an AU version of their plugin, it would work with AudioCodex, as well as GarageBand, Final Cut, Logic, Live and any other app that supports AU's, so I recommend asking SRS to adopt the true audio plugin standard for Mac OSX

Or otherwise try 'rolling your own' using the FxChain...
Re Volume Logic, we will be implementing our own dynamic gain modulation technology to provide something with an analogous effect, hopefully by around version 1.5.
Re iHear, could you provide some more information, ideally web-links, as I couldn't determine which technology or product you were referring to via a quick Googling...

It's actually called 'Hear' ... my error. Here is a link to their website. It's pricey, but they have ambitious plans for the app.

Edit: PS I was mistaken ... it already works with your player and its impressive
Of these three tools, I like Volume Logic the best. Rumor is that ITunes may buy them and incorporate it, as the product is no longer for sale.
Here is some background on iWow, which some people swear by.

Not sure how the FX chain thing works. Please explain - thanx.
