AU issue

Hi,

I looked everywhere and didn't see this posted, hopefully I didn't miss it.

When I open AudioCodex, the FX chain doesn't show any available plug-ins. In fact, the whole FX section is grayed out (see attached pic). I have Logic 8, and all my AU plugs work fine.

Plugins were in the HD > Library > Audio > Components folder, so just to be sure I moved them to my home folder, no luck.

MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.6, AudioCodex 1.49.

I've had this issue since I first bought AC, deleted my prefs following the instructions on the forum and downloaded the latest version, but no luck.

Has anyone else had this issue?

RE: AU issue

Hi,

The FxChain controls are disabled until a Core-Audio-playable file is loaded for playback i.e. by double-clicking on a track in a playlist; only once a file is loaded will the FxChain buttons will become active.

Another thing to note is that if the loaded file is only playable via QuickTime then the entire 'Adjust' Inspector tab contents changes to show a QuickTime-specific interface; all video files are played via QuickTime, as are all Fairplay-protected aac files (those with an 'm4p' file extension).

More information on these topics can be found in the online manual at the following links:

Fx Chain

Playback Modes

Supported File Formats

AudioCodex and Protected Files

RE: AU issue

D'oh!! I had loaded an .mp3 to test with no luck, but I just downloaded another one and sure enough it worked fine. That's what I get for using an .mp3 from iTunes.

Thanks for your help!! Problem solved.
