Loops
AudioCodex provides an interface for defining millisecond-accurate virtual loops associated with an individual audio file. When Loop mode is active, playback of the associated track will be constrained to the region defined between the loop’s start and end times. Loop settings are automatically saved from session-to-session. Loops can also be exported in a wide variety of common audio formats, including AIF, AAC, MP4, M4A, WAV, SND, AU & CAF.
Creating Loops

To create a new loop, first begin playing an iTunes or playlist Track, then click on the Loop button in the toolbar and a new loop will be defined for the track. Loop mode is toggled using this button. When Loop mode is active, a blue bar fills the space between the in and out markers for the current track.
If you have an iTunes playlist item playing when you switch on Loop mode, the current track is added to the bottom of the AudioCodex Loops playlist in the Source list. Your loop information is stored within this new reference to the track; the original track remains unchanged.

New loops encapsulate the whole track... use the small triangle markers (under the main transport slider) to define the desired loop start and end points.

Numeric values of loop in and out points can be fine-tuned using the stepper controls beside the ‘in’ and ‘out’ detail fields, or by entering values directly into the fields themselves.
By adjusting the slider, the time resolution can be switched to any of 1, .1, .01, .001 seconds, allowing easy millisecond-accurate definition of in and out points. Loops also record the settings applied for Rate and Pitch in the Warp, and will restore these settings when a loop is next re-played.
Loop tracks display
To start playing a loop, switch to Loops mode and double-click on a Loops track entry.

How do I...
Export a loop as an audio-file
To export a loop as a new self-contained audio-file, first select an entry in the Loops Tracks list, then right-click/ctrl-click and choose the ‘Export...’ option from the context menu (or click the action menu on the toolbar) and the ‘Export Audio File’ sheet will be displayed, allowing you to export a copy of the loop to a wide variety of audio-file formats.
Exported loops can include any time and pitch adjustments.
Burn a CD or DVD from Loops
If you want to burn Loops to cd you need to first export them as standalone audio-files, then import those files into Tracks, and then burn the Tracks playlist. For this reason the ‘Burn disc’ item is disabled when in Loops.
