Sources

The Sources panel in the Main Window is where you control your media sources, the locations of the media files you wish to play.

The Media button on the Toolbar hides or displays the Sources pane

Each Source group contains one or more Playlists, or groups of tracks. The Tracks sub-pane displays a listing of all the tracks contained within the selected Source Playlist.

Sources are thematically grouped into AudioCodex Loops and playlists, Watched Folders, Visualizers and iTunes.

AudioCodex Source

The AudioCodex source list contains AudioCodex's primary group of playlists. By default, it includes the Loops playlist, which is where all newly created loops from other Source groups are stored.

Your new playlists will always be added to the AudioCodex source.

Unlike tracks in the iTunes Source, AudioCodex playlist tracks will preserve their settings from session to session, so if you want to save the settings you make, always add your work tracks to an AudioCodex Source playlist first.

Action menu

While browsing Sources, the action (gear) pop up menu on the Toolbar allows you to:
  • Create a new playlist
  • Create a new Watched Folder
  • Remove a playlist
  • Add files
  • Remove playlist items
  • Burn a disc of the playlist
